Are you an advisor that shy’s away from Medicare because it’s “too complicated”, “too regulated”, “not enough commissions”, etc.
Medicare Health Insurance can be complicated, but let me break it down to make it simple for all to understand. A Medicare recipient has two choices to “supplement” (or add coverage) to their original Medicare plan.
One way to help cover the gaps in coverage is to enroll in an HMO plan. This is the one that’s complicated, overly regulated, but pays great ongoing commissions. This is the most popular Medicare plan since most plans have $0.00 premium. Although, not all states have these plans available.
The other Medicare add-on product is called a “Supplement”. No testing, no certifications, and 100% retention.
Pays great commissions and you get a raise each year besides. All you need is 2 or 3 different carriers for premium and deductible differences. With these Supplement plans, clients are free to go to any doctor and hospital that takes Medicare. It’s a great ‘door-opener’ to use with anyone 64 and older. And, a gateway to more sales with Medicare clients.
This is the plan that ALL advisors should sell since most business owners and affluent people buy these. These will give you great opportunities to talk about other retirement protection that you do. Please give me a call and I’ll get you started.
